This beautiful poetry "Phir Mujhe Deeda-E-Tar Yaad Aaya" was written by the great Mirza Ghalib. This has been composed in different tunes and sung by various singers over the time. The song by Mehdi Hassan is from the album Ghalibnama. The aalap in this version is by Tarannum Naaz. Soft recital of his songs and singing them in pure classical style is the characteristic of Mehdi Hassan. I love this ghazal and it's composition which is typical Mehdi Hassan style.
