Hume koi gham nahi tha by Mehdi Hassan

Hume koi gham nahi tha is a song that appeared first in the movie Shab Bakhair in the year 1967 and sung by Mehdi Hassan. Later he sang the song in many live performances. The movie version of the song is just 3:45 mins while the other versions relatively long and sung in a bit different, ghazal style. The movie version is as below:

The other version sung in a live performance is as below:

Lyrics:

Akhiyan nu rehn de by Reshma

Akhiyan nu rehn de is punjabi folk song that has been sung by a lot of singers over the time. Lata Mangeshkar has also sung the song with lyrics as Ankhiyon ko rahne de, but here i share the original folk in the voice of Lambi Judai fame Pakistani singer Reshma. This version was sung for the album Lok Virsa. There is a yearning in her voice which touches the heart to the core and that is the usp of her. She has sung the song in a pure folk song style.

Aahat Si Koi Aaye By Abida Parveen

Aahat Si Koi Aaye is a beautiful ghazal from the album Paigham-E-Mohabbat. The album was composed by the multi-talented director Muzaffar Ali. This song was written by Jaan Nissar Akhtar and sung by the famous sufi singer Abida Parveen. The poetry is so beautiful that it moves you away with each and every word of it and Abida Parveen has sung it with such a perfect ease that it smoothly touches the strings of your emotions. A beautiful composition, beautiful lyrics and beautiful singing make it a perfect ghazal.

Lyrics:

Aahat si koi aaye to lagta hai ki tum ho
Saaya koi lehraaye to lagta hai ki tum ho

Jab shaakh koi haath lagate hi chaman mein
Sharmaaye, lachak jaaye, to lagta hai ki tum ho

Raste ke dhundhalke mein kisi mod pe kuchh door
Ek lau si chamak jaaye to lagta hai ki tum ho

Sandal si mahakti hui purkaif hawa ka
Jhonka koi takraaye to lagta hai ki tum ho

Odhe hue taaron ki chamaktee hui chaader
nadiya koi bal khaye to lagta hai ki tum ho

Jab raat gaye koi kiran mere barabar
Chupchap se so jaaye to lagta hai ki tum ho.

Haan maine chhokar dekha hai

Haan maine chhokar dekha hai is a fabulous song from the movie Black. Though the movie doesn't have any song this song was recorded separately. The song has been composed by Monty Sharma and sung by Gayatri Iyer. The composition has a clear impression of Bhansali's musical genius. The beautiful lyrics of the song are written by the lyricist Prasoon Joshi and probably is one of his best works. The lyrics carry the theme of the movie exquisitely. The composition is great, written superbly and sung perfectly.

Lyrics:

Mausam ki adla badli mein
Pavan gulaabi ho jaati hai
Haan maine chhu-kar dekha hai-2
Raat sarak
kar chalte chalte
Bilkul aadhi ho jaati hai
Haan maine chukar dekha hai-2
Mausam ki adla badli mein

Garam gunguni dhoop se
baat ki hai maine
Paani ke bahne mein
hasee_n suni hai maine
Sab kahte hain deep bujha hai
Lekin baati so jaati hai
Haan maine chhu-kar dekha hai - 2
Mausam ki adla badli mein

Bin dastak ke aaye jo
Woh pyar suna hai
Bin bole man khole
Woh adhikaar suna hai
Lamhon ki ungli thaam ke
Yaadein aangan mein aa jaati hain
Haan maine chhu-kar dekha hai-2
Mausam ki adla badli mein

Thanda thanda ang boondon ka
Mulaayam rang hai phoolon ka
Chubhne wale rang pahan kar
Dulhan saj dhaj ke jaati hai
Haan maine chhu-kar dekha hai-2
