Beparwah rang ka jaaya by Arijit Singh (Movie:Shahid)

"Beparwah rang ka jaaya" as the lyrics suggest makes you lost in a world where you become Beparwah (carefree). The song is composed by Karan Kulkarni  and appeared in the national award winning movie Shahid. The lyrics drops from the pen of Shaliendra Singh Sodhi known as  Shellee, famous for his lyrics in Dev D. Arijit Singh, the most promising and popular singer of the day has sung the song beautifully. Though it is the first composition of Karan Kulkarni, but with this song he makes his mark. The song has a beautiful opening and the use of instruments such as sarangi, ghunghrus, guitar is awesome. I simply love to hear it again and again. A perfect combination of lyrics, music and voice.

Sheeshe Ka Samundar by Rekha Bhardwaj (Movie:Xpose)

Some films come and disappear from the way they come, but some songs which don't find limelight easily comes to you and stuck somewhere in your heart and soul. I came across such a song from the movie Xpose. The movie and its composer's name (Himesh Reshamiya) may not prompt you to listen this song but its singer alone can force you to listen it once and then again and again. It is the song Sheeshe ka samundar which has been sung by Rekha Bhardwaj in her soulful voice which gives it a sufi touch also. The beautiful somewhat mystic lyrics has been surprisingly penned by Sameer, who generally is not famous for such lyrics. The best thing about the song is its singer. Rekha has poured the pain of the lyrics in her voice and let it out in her superb voice. Though the song has two versions, one by Ankit Tiwari and another one a reprise version by Rekha Bhardaj, but I like the reprise version only.

Ranjha by Rupesh Kumar Ram (Movie:Queen)

Apart from some good numbers like Badra Bahar, Harjaiya and Jungni (with superb lyrics) from the album Queen, there is one more song that somewhat went unnoticed from music lovers and that song is Ranjha for which Rupesh Kumar Ram has lent his voice. Though he has composed the song himself but couldn't get the credit for the same. Actually Rupesh worked on a Punjabi album earlier, which never saw the light of day. Ranjha was a part of that album. What I personally liked in this song is the rawness of his voice as well as very simple and good touching lyrics, penned by Raghu Nath. What appeals most in the song is its minimal instruments and aptly brought out emotions by the singer in his fresh raw voice.
